Anseetey Zakham | ਅਣਸੀਤੇ ਜ਼ਖਮ

ਇਸ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਪਿਛੋਕੜ ਇਕ ਸਦੀ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ (ਸੰਨ ੫੭ ਦੇ) ਇਕ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਜੁਗਤ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਅੱਗਾ ਹੈ ਸੰਨ ੪੧-੪੨ ਦੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਨਾਲ । ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੁਹਾਂ ਅਗਾੜਾਂ ਪਿਛਾੜਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਉਗਮਦੀ ਹੈ । ਇਹ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਹੈ ਇਕ ਉਜੱਡ ਜਿਹੀ, ਅਨਪੜ੍ਹ ਤੇ ਹੂੜ ਮੱਤ ਜਿਹੀ ਕੁੜੀ ਦੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ! ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ‘ਅਮਲ’ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਹੈ-ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ‘ਕਹਿਣ’ ਦੀ ਜਾਚ ਨਹੀਂ, ‘ਕਰਨ’ ਦੀ ਜਾਚ ਹੈ – ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੈਕਚਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ, ਪਰ ਵਕਤ ਆਉਣ ਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਦੇ ਹਵਨ ਕੁੰਡ ਵਿਚ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਪਾਤਰ ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਆਏ ਨੇ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੋਲਚਾਲ ਵੀ ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਹੈ ।

The narrative unfolds between these two significant eras. It portrays the life of a simple, uneducated girl, whose existence embodies the essence of action rather than mere words. She lacks the understanding of lectures and teachings, yet when the time comes, she knows how to sacrifice in the fire of love and service. The novel features several non-Punjabi characters, each with their own distinct dialect and expressions, enriching the narrative's diversity.
