ਅਸੀਂ ਬਚਪਨ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਸਾਂਈ ਮੀਆਂ ਮੀਰ (ਰਹ) ਜੀ ਹੱਥੋਂ 1588 ਈਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਖਵਾਈ ਸੀ। ਸਮੁੱਚਾ ਸਿੱਖ-ਜਗਤ ਸਾਂਈ ਮੀਆਂ ਮੀਰ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਜਾਣਨਾ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਪਾਠਕ-ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਤਸੁਕਤਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਘੱਟ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹੁਣ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
