Lahoo Di Lo | ਲਹੂ ਦੀ ਲੋਅ

‘ਲਹੂ ਦੀ ਲੋਅ’ ਦਾ ਪਲਾਟ ਲੇਖਕ ਨੇ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਦੇ ਯਥਾਰਥ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਬੇਟ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਸਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੋਰਚੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਸਚਿਤ ਹੈ । ਕਹਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਆਦਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਿੰਘ (ਪੀਤੂ) ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹਥਿਆਰਬੰਦ ਇਨਕਲਾਬ ਬਾਰੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਉਦੈ ਨਾਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਗੋਲੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪੀਤੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਵਲ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਕਤ ਨਵੀਂ ਉਠੀ ਇਨਕਲਾਬੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਕੜੀ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਨਾਵਲ ਦਾ ਹਰ ਕਾਂਡ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਖਾਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਸ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੇ ਯਥਾਰਥ ਦਾ ਸੂਚਕ ਹੈ । ਹਰ ਕਾਂਡ ਯਥਾਰਥ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਵਚਿਤਰ ਰੂਪ ਉਘਾੜਦਾ ਹੈ ।

The plot of "Lahoo Di Loa" is rooted in the realities of the times. Its setting is the Bet area during a conflict a few years ago. The story begins with the protagonist, Preetam Singh (Pitu), gaining awareness of armed revolution and culminates in his martyrdom through a police bullet. His death marks the end of a phase in the newly emerged revolutionary wave depicted in the novel. Each incident in the novel reflects a specific period and reality of Punjabi life, revealing a unique aspect of that reality.
