ਹੱਥਲਾ ਨਾਵਲ “ਸੁੰਦਰਾਂ” ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਔਰਤ ਮਜਲੂਮ ਜਮਾਤ ਤੇ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਜਿਆਦਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਬਰਦਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਰੁਣਾਮਈ ਗਾਥਾ ਹੈ । ਔਰਤ ਸਦੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਾਰ ਥੱਲੇ ਦਬੀ ਪਿਸੀ ਹੈ , ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ । ਸੁੰਦਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਔਰਤ ਨਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ । ਸੁੰਦਰਾਂ ਔਰਤ ਜਮਾਤ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਨਿਧ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਮਰਦ ਦੇ ਗੁਨਾਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਆਦਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਨਿੰਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਭੰਡੀ ਗਈ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਜਨਨੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵੀ ਮਰਦ ਦੇ ਗੁਨਾਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਲੰਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੱਥੇ ‘ਤੇ ਲੈਕੇ ਤੁਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ।

The novel "Sundran" is a poignant tale of the atrocities and injustices faced by women, who have been oppressed for centuries under burdens they did not create. Through the character of Sundran, the woman demands justice. She represents the female community, enduring the sins and abuses of men, and despite this, she faces condemnation and ridicule. As a result, even as the mother of the world, she carries the stigma of men's transgressions upon her head.
