Anhoye | ਅਣਹੋਏ

‘ਅਣਹੋਏ’ ਨਾਵਲ ਵਿਚ ਦੋ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਚਾਰ ਪਾਤਰ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਉਘੜ ਕੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਇਹ ਨਾਵਲ ਵਿਚ ਉਘੜਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ-ਅਜਿਹੇ ਨਾਵਲ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਪੁਸ਼ਤਪੁਰ-ਪੁਸਤਕ ਪਾਠਕ ਸੂਰਤ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਊਂਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸਪੇਨੀ ਨਾਵਲ ਦਾਨ ਕੀਹੋਤੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਇਕ, ਉਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਦਾ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸ਼ੈਕਸਪੀਅਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਟਕ ‘ਹੈਮਲਿਟ ਦਾ ਨਾਇਕ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਨਾਵਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਲਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਿਆਂ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਕੋਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ । ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਚ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਲਨਾ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਹੈ ।

In the novel "Anhoye," several characters emerge in a manner that aligns with the essence of the story. This is the kind of novel where readers should feel as if they are living with the characters, much like the protagonist of the Spanish novel "Don Quixote," or the characters in Shakespeare's play "Hamlet." I feel no hesitation in comparing this novel to those great works; in my opinion, it is deserving of such comparison.
