Chaar Sahibzaade | ਚਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦੇ

ਅਸੀਂ ਚਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ‘ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ’ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਸ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦਾ ਅਸਲ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮ੍ਰਿਤੂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ । ਸ਼ਹਿਦੀ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਸਬਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ, ਉਹ ਹਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਤਨਾ ਕੰਠ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਦੀ ਭੁਲਾਇਆ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ । ਇਹ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਲਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ‘ਸਿੰਘ ਲਹਿਰ’ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਇਨਕਲਾਬੀ ਰਸਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ । ਇਸ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਕੁਝ ਦੁਰਲੱਭ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਦੋ ਉਰਦੂ ਕਿੱਸੇ ‘ਗੰਜਿ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ’ ਤੇ ‘ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਨਿ ਵਫਾ’ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੇਖਕ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਪਿਆਂਤਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ । 

We honor the four Sahibzadas not only because they were born into the house of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, but primarily due to the sacrifice they made at the time of their martyrdom. The lesson of sacrifice they imparted has become so ingrained in every Sikh child that it is never forgotten. It is this sacrifice that transformed the Sikh movement into the 'Singh Wave,' paving the way for revolutionary change.This book provides some rare historical information about the Sahibzadas and includes two Urdu stories, "Ganj-i-Shehidan" and "Shehidan-i-Wafa," which the author has translated into Gurmukhi.
