ਇਸ ਨਾਵਲ ਵਿਚ ਲੇਖਕ ਨੇ ਔਰਤ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ‘ਮਾਲਣ’ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਇਕ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਤਲੱਬ ਲਈ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਪਾਤਰ ‘ਜਗਰੂਪ’ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਔਰਤ ਦਾ ਸਬਰ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਤੀ ‘ਕੇਸ਼ਰ’ ਉਸਦਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਾਥ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਬੂੜ ਸਿੰਘ, ਦੁੱਲਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੁਰਦੀ ਹੈ ।
