ਇਸ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਵਿਚ ਲੇਖਕ ਨੇ ਦਮਦਮੀ ਟਕਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਤਪਤੀ, (ਸੰਤ) ਜਰਨੈਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਬਣਨ, ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਪਰੰਪਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਮਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪੈੜ ਕੱਢੀ ਹੈ। ਦਮਦਮੀ ਟਕਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਟਕਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਕੁੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪਰਮਾਣਿਕ ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਬੜੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਖੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਸੰਤ ਜਰਨੈਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ-ਕਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਛਪੀ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਐਡੀਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਾਂਪੁਰਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਜੀਵਨੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਲੰਬੇ ਅੰਤਰਾਲ ਬਾਅਦ ਲੇਖਕ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਸੋਧ ਕੇ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਤੱਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਤੇ ਸੰਤੁਲਿਤ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਮੰਥਨ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਪੇਸ਼ ਮਨੌਤਾਂ ਸਦਕਾ ਇਹ ਰਚਨਾ ਸਮਕਾਲੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਤੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸੂਝ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਣਿਕ ਰਚਨਾ ਹੈ।
