Joothi Roti | ਜੂਠੀ ਰੋਟੀ

ਲੇਖਕ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਵਲ ਵਿਚ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਨਾਵਲ ਦੀ ਨਾਇਕਾ ‘ਸ਼ਾਲੂ’ ਫਿਲਮੀ ਰਸਾਲੇ ਤੇ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਮੈਗਜ਼ੀਨ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੌਕੀਨ ਹੈ । ਸ਼ਾਲੂ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ‘ਪਰਵੇਜ਼’ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਉਮਰ 50 ਸਾਲ ਸੀ । ਪਰ ਸ਼ਾਲੂ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਨੇ ਖੋਹ ਲਈ । ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਘਰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਾਲੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ ਪਰ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਖੋਹ ਲਿਆ ।

The author presents the story of a woman in this novel. The protagonist, Shalu, is an avid reader of film magazines and fashion publications. Shalu marries Parvez, who is 50 years old. However, her freedom is taken away by that household. After leaving the house, Shalu gains her freedom, but the world robs her of everything else.
