ਧਰਮ ਯੁੱਧ ਮੋਰਚਾ (1982-84) ਪਿਛਲੀ ਸਦੀ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦਾ ਦਰਦਨਾਕ ਅਧਿਆਇ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਿੱਖ ਅਕਾਂਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾ ਦਾ ਮਾਧਿਅਮ ਬਣਿਆ । ਪਰੰਤੂ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਾਤਰ ਚਾਲਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ‘ਤੇ ਫੌਜੀ ਹਮਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਚੀਸ ਸਿੱਖ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਡੰਘੀ ਧਸ ਗਈ । ਹੱਥਲੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਇਸ ਮੋਰਚੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਤੁਲਿਤ ਬਿਆਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਹਿਮ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਇਸ ਕਾਲ ਦੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੈ ।
