This document has been written with rigorous effort and complete honesty, while avoiding any emotional bias or sectarian inclination. It aims to examine the roles of prominent Sikh personalities during the various phases of Sikh struggle, from the Singh Sabha movement up to June 1984, without any personal attachments. This document also serves as a history of Sikh struggles in itself. However, it is not a history written from a biased or narrow perspective; rather, it is an earnest attempt to understand all historical actions within a specific context.
